One of the most famous Turkish mobile gaming companies, Ace Games, has successfully managed to raise a 7 million dollar seed funding round led by Actera Group. The main source of the co-investment was San Francisco’s NFX, and besides that, well-known names such as the Co-Founder of Initial Capital Kristian Segerstrale, the COO of Stillfront Group Alexis Bonte, and the Co-Founder of Firefly Kaan Gunay were also among the names that took part in this seed investment tour. As you know, Fırat Ileri gave significant support in Ace Games’ pre-seed investment tour.
Seed investment tour’s main source, NFX, was also one of the most important investors of such popular enterprises like Lyft, Trulia, Doordash, Playtika, AngeliList, SimilarWeb, and Firefly.
Ace Games currently takes care of two studios, the first studio is focused on casual games and the second one is mainly focused on hyper-casual games. Hakan Bas, Co-Founder of Ace Games, says:
“Ace’s main focus is actually the casual ‘hybrid puzzle’ game that we have been working on for a while now. However, our hyper-casual studio assists the main studio in many aspects like training talent, coming up with creative game mechanics and marketing ideas, generating cash, and creating user base.”
This statement from Hakan Bas, gives us clear signals that Ace Games has been working on a casual title which is expected to be released in the late summer of 2021, and the global launch is expected in early 2022. Mobile games that are published by Ace Games have really good potential in both the Turkish mobile gaming market and the global mobile gaming market. Their most popular mobile game called “Mix and Drink” has had great achievements in Apple’s App Store in the United States.
