The Web3 artificial intelligence company Altered State Machine has announced a collaboration with FIFA to make an AI-driven football game named FIFA World Cup AI League. The company described the game as a “smart football” experience that will introduce AI characters to casual gamers.
The Futureverse ecosystem will power the new online experience as players will look to establish their own competitive football teams to challenge others. Altered State Machine shared that this title will allow football fans to learn about the metaverse and the application of AI in it.
Altered State Machine’s Co-Founder Aaron McDonald shared his excitement about the new partnership:
“The launch of our FIFA World Cup AI league is an exciting step towards our mission to lead casual gamers into the world of AI gaming in the metaverse, and we are honored to be building the first Web3 game with FIFA. We look forward to bringing the world’s most popular sport into the metaverse.”
The game will open up with a prediction round that will allow players to predict real-world games in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Users who gather the most points will earn various physical and digital prizes. The round will last for ten weeks, going hand-in-hand with the World Cup.
Altered State Machine stated that this prediction round will net four unique collectibles that will act as smart players in the FIFA World Cup AI League. Afterward, players can challenge other players with their AI-enhanced street footballers.
