Apogee Entertainment obtains a $5m investment

The company will use the funding to expand its business portfolio.

Yesterday game publisher Apogee Entertainment announced that it received a $5 million investment from the eWTP Tech Innovation Fund. The company said that the funding would expand its staff and business portfolio.

Apogee Entertainment, then Apogee Software, was founded in 1987 and has developed and published indie games over the years. It is famous for creating Duke Nukem, Shadow Warrior, and Prey. The company released titles for developer studios such as id Software, Remedy Entertainment, and Parallax Software as a publisher.
