Awesome Games Done Quick raised a record $3.5 million for charity

This years Awesome Games Done Quick had reached awesome amounts of charity.
This speedrunning focused event also does charity work.

Awesome Games Done Quick, the event that’s organized by Games Done Quick had raised  $3,431,680 for Prevent Cancer, an organization dedicated to detecting and preventing cancer in its early stages. This amount is unparalleled by any amount that had been gathered by any event alike. Last year’s AGDQ raised around $2.7 million for Prevent Cancer Foundation.

According to the donor page, this amount was reached by approximately 50,000 individual donations. The average donation was $69.34 per capita and the maximum amount of donation by a single individual was recorded as $236,657.

The first one of these events was held back in 2010 and all events are managed by Games Done Quick nowadays. These events are highly focused on amazing challenge runs and the achievements of speedrunning community.
