Digital entertainment and media platform Azerion has announced the acquisition of Spain-based digital marketing company Infinia. The company explains its aim in this acquisition is to increase its access to the advertising market, especially in Spain and Latin America.

Infinia adds unique features to the items it buys from digital publishers and sells them to advertising and media agencies. The company’s inclusion in Azerion’s advertising portfolio will increase Infinia’s purchasing power. Infinia will become more productive using Azerion’s power and resources. On the other hand, Spain-based Infinia will increase Azerion’s advertising power in the region. It was announced that Infinia generated revenues on a double-digit million Euro basis in 2021.

Azerion used an undisclosed amount of cash and 112,359 Azerion treasury shares to acquire Infinia. Azerion and Infinia signed a binding purchase agreement subject to certain conditions on March 22, 2022, and the acquisition is expected to be completed in early April 2022.

On the subject, Azerion CIO Joost Merks said:

Infinia’s advanced targeting and data activation technology, along with their AI capabilities in campaign performance measurement, will also be strong assets to help deliver highly-targeted media campaigns to our clients.”

Infinia CEO and Founder Fausto Fernandez added:

“Over the past few years, we have witnessed a strong shift in consumer behaviour into digital mobile marketing. At Infinia, we have developed sophisticated AI data-driven marketing and research tools to capture the opportunities offered by this new segment. By joining Azerion, we know we will be operating in a like-minded innovation-driven platform, where we will continue developing our technology and provide our customers with highly targeted media campaigns in Europe and beyond.”

Founded in 2014 by two Dutch entrepreneurs, Azerion has experienced rapid expansion driven by organic growth and strategic acquisitions. The Amsterdam-based company continues to expand both its portfolio and sphere of influence.
