Browser-based game design and economy optimization platform Machinations.io has announced that it has raised $3.3 million from its Hiro Capital-led Series A funding round. Acequia Capital, Venrex Investment Management, and GapMinder were also investors.

Machinations.io, oyun geliştiricileri için gelişmiş oyun tasarımı araçları sunuyor. Platform tarafından sunulan hizmetler ile oyun tasarımı, oyun ekonomisi ve dengesi kolaca optimize edilebiliyor. Tarayıcı tabanlı yapı sayesinde Machinations.io’nun sunduğu araçlara her yerden erişilebiliyor.

Machinations.io was developed in 2018 to solve the difficulty of balancing the in-game economy of free-to-play games. Initially implemented as an academy project by Joris Dormans, Machinations.io has evolved over time into a platform that offers automation options to developers. The platform, which attracted the attention of investors after its establishment, has collected approximately 5 million dollars of funds with the last investment.

With the introduction of Web3 games into our lives, the in-game economy balance gained even more importance. Being aware of this situation, the company started to offer in-game economy balancing services for play-to-earn and play-and-earn games as well as free-to-play games.

The firm will use the $3.3 million fund to develop its team, expand its operations and increase its user base. Regarding the funding round, Mihai Gheza, Co-Founder and CEO of Machinations.io, said:

“We’re humbled to be backed by such reputed VCs and have their confidence in our vision and role within the games industry and beyond. Hiro Capital has been great throughout this process, and we’re extremely excited to be working together, especially with Cherry Freeman, who will be joining our board.”

Spike Laurie, a partner at Hiro Capital, adds:

“The team at Machinations.io has forged a set of tools that will be foundational in the future of game design, both centralized games and Web3. The ability for any development studio to use Machinations’ platform to create in-game economies in a streamlined browser-based solution is revolutionary. We’re excited to help the Machinations team take their vision to game creators across the globe.”
