Casual games platform FRVR raises $76 million investment

Having reached 1.5 billion players so far, FRVR will use the new investment to continue its success.

FRVR has completed its investment round led by Hiro Capital.

Web-based gaming platform FRVR has received a $76 million investment. Hiro Capital led the investment round. Accel and Makers Fund was also among the investors.

FRVR was founded in 2017 by Chris Benjaminsen and Brian Meidell. Chris Benjaminsen previously held a position at Yahoo in revenue generation from games. Brian Meidell founded the game developer company Cape Copenhagen before FRVR.

In 2018, with its plans to enter the Asian market, FRVR received a seed investment of 3 million dollars in a round that also included Accel and Makers Fund. The HTML game portfolio of the web-based gaming platform can also be played on mobile devices today.

After the investment, FRVR wants to scale its success by continuing to produce high-quality games. It is estimated that the platform has hosted approximately 1.5 billion players since its inception.
