Carsten van Husen, the former CEO of Gameforge, who’s been a part of more than 20 iconic games such as Metin2, Ikariam, and OGame, has established a new Web3 game publisher. Established under the name Eleet Games, the company will undertake publishing new generation Web3 games.

Unlike other publisher companies, Eleet Games has a “Publishing 3.0” vision. This means the publisher company will act together with the players and developers in the decision-making process, depending on the decentralization trend. In this respect, Eleet Games differs from traditional publisher companies.

The company will directly communicate with players on various platforms, especially on Discord. It will use the opportunities offered by the blockchain but will not force players and developers to buy crypto components. It also means that, unlike other Web3 projects, participants don’t have to spend money to have a say.

Carsten van Husen will serve as the Managing Director of Eleet Games. van Husen said:

“We will only be successful in the short and long term if our games are entertaining. At Eleet, no one is forced to deal with crypto, buy a token or NFT. Just play along and see if the game is fun!”

The experienced names in Eleet Games’ team are not limited to Husen. Peter Stein works with Husen as one of the company’s co-founders, and the company’s team of about 20 people has been preparing since last summer for the launch. In addition, Sir Ian Livingstone, Co-Founder of Games Workshop, will act as an advisor to Eleet Games.

On the matter, Livingstone says:

“I’ve known Carsten for more than 20 years, and when Peter introduced me to the early alpha version of their first MMORPG, Oathbound, in the fall of 2021, it became clear to me that Eleet Games had a real opportunity to bring the worlds of gaming and blockchain closer together.”

In line with its vision of decentralization and publishing 3.0, the company is expected to share its revenues with the community via the blockchain. It seems that there will be more news from Eleet Games in the coming period.
