GXC subsidiary Global Top Round (GTR) has announced a new seed funding program. Within the program’s scope, financial support will be provided to game startups that have completed the early stage.

Game startup accelerator GTR regularly selects 10 gaming startups each year to provide financial support. It also provides solutions and guidance for supported startups’ game publishing problems.

The GTR investment program was expanded after GXC received a $13.8 million investment last year. Within the scope of the new investment program, GTR will invest between 150 thousand and 300 thousand dollars in each of the gaming startups it chooses. Investments in 5 to 7 startups are expected under the program.

Pontus Mahler, GTR Vice President of Global Business Development, said the following about the program:

“We’re excited to branch into the realm of seed funding venture capital with our new program. Whereas our accelerator program has traditionally worked with early-stage startups to build a foundation, this program will focus more on what later-stage startups can do to take their projects to the next level.”

GTR has so far dealt with early-stage startups. Now the company will begin to support more advanced initiatives. It is not yet known which gaming initiatives will be supported within the scope of the program, which will last for one year.
