Louis Vuitton, one of the world’s largest and most popular fashion brands based in France, announced that it will launch a mobile game on August 4, its birthday. The game will be released on this important day, the 200th anniversary of the birth of the company’s founder, and will be available on both iOS and Android platforms.
In “Louis: The Game”, players will navigate Louis Vuitton’s past as a wooden doll mascot named Vivienne. Various missions with Vivienne will follow the story of how Vuitton moved to Paris at the age of 15, began an apprenticeship with a chest maker, and started his own fashion empire selling everything from leather goods to shoes, accessories, and apparel.
In addition, it is stated that the game will also have embedded NFTs, but a detailed explanation has not been made yet.
What will be included in Louis Vuitton’s birthday celebrations?
Alongside the upcoming release of Louis: The Game, Louis Vuitton’s 200th-anniversary celebrations include a fictional novel, a documentary on Apple TV, artwork, and a special champagne presentation from Veuve Clicquot.
Michael Burke, Chairman, and CEO of Vuitton commented on this special event:
“The media evolves so fast that every time there is a new way of communicating, you have to retell your story. Generations are no longer defined by age, but by technology.”
It should be noted that the release of Louis: The Game is not the first step taken by the Louis Vuitton brand in the gaming industry. The brand had previously produced content for world-famous games such as League of Legends and Final Fantasy XIII.
The fact that the most popular brands around the world are now in the game industry, as Michael Burke said, reveals that technology is now shaping our lives and that new generations are shaped by technology.
