Pocket Styler is a fashion designing game that allows players to create and style their avatar for a range of daily themed events, with other gamers voting on their outfits. The game was developed by Nordcurrent and launched in 2021.

Pocket Styler currently boasts over 310 trillion possible combinations of outfits with 10.5 million looks submitted weekly and over 10 million votes given to outfits daily. It has been downloaded 15.8 million times and has a monthly active user base of 1.7 million players.

On 28th November 2022 more than 100 items of clothing, footwear, and accessories from the David Koma Resort 2023 collection will become available within Pocket Styler. Simultaneously the exact items will be available to purchase online at David Koma’s website.

David Koma, Founder, and Creative Director commented,

“With the mobile game market valued at 120 Billion USD in 2021 with 7.7% year-on-year growth, it is an unmissable space for a fashion brand like mine to explore and reach new audiences. It has been fantastic to collaborate with Nordcurrent – I have loved the process of transforming my designs into digital fashion items and am very excited to see how Pocket Styler gamers will interact and style our creations. It is a new experience, launching the collection as clothing and virtually within the app, allowing more people than ever to own one of my designs.”

Victoria Trofimova, Nordcurrent co-founder and CEO said,

“Barriers between digital and physical fashion are fading. Pocket Styler’s mission is to provide its players with a platform to experience high fashion, develop a sense of style, learn to make choices, and meet new friends. Introducing real fashion brands in Pocket Styler is a natural progression as the game grows, and it is enthusiastically supported by millions of players.

It is a pleasure to work with David Koma, a fashion designer who is curious and determined to explore the potential of mobile games as an environment to build relationships with fashion lovers all over the world. I believe this is just the beginning of a wonderful journey for both our teams and, of course, all our customers and players.”

David Koma and Nordcurrent are not the first to do a collaboration like this. In November, Epic games teamed up with Ralph Lauren for a digital apparel collection in Fortnite, and Roblox also partnered with Ralph Lauren for winter events in December 2021. Pokémon and Puma also collaborated on a unique footwear, apparel, and accessories collection in November.
