About Mario Kart Tour

Mario Kart Tour is a kart racing game which was released in 2019 by Nintento. It is a free-to-play game that has achieved many successful milestones since it came out. In the first 11 days from its release, it reached over 100 million total downloads with $17.8 million revenue. Thanks to the Gold Pass, which is a subscription for $4.99 USD per month, the game offered several in-game benefits to its players and as a result, it also increased Mario Kart Tour’s revenue to $100 million within the first six months.

Craig Chapple, Sensor Tower’s EMEA mobile insights strategist, says;

“While Mario Kart Tour has not been able to sustain the highs of its big launch, it has maintained a fairly consistent revenue stream, generating $7.7 million on average per month globally over the last year. The title is an example of the power of big IP in generating launch buzz, particularly important with the looming IDFA changes.”
