Marvel Realm of Champions developed by Kabam is shutting down.

Kabam announced that the mobile MOBA Marvel Realm of Champions they developed has been removed from the App Store and Google Play. Players will also no longer be able to make in-app purchases and the game will be shut down completely on March 31, 2022.

The game’s goal was to allow players to create a character and create a competitive PVP environment with fast-paced action.

While no reason was given for the closure of the game, Kabam made the following statements on the game’s website;

“Although we made many adjustments and changes along the way, we did not achieve the vision we set at the beginning.”

Kabam stated that Contest of Champions, another Marvel game, continues and activities will encourage players to participate. Realm players will receive a balancing pack based on their progress.

Kabam added the following words;

“This game was a labor of love for us. We’re not just game makers, we’re Marvel fans. When we set out to make a game where we could tell a new epic Marvel story and give you abilities, we were so excited to get you to create your very own Marvel Champion. From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank each and every one of you individually for joining us on this journey.”
