According to Sensor Tower data, Miniclip’s popular game 8 Ball Pool has the title of the most downloaded mobile pool game since 2014. The game is played for 260 million hours every month, with 4,000 balls potted every second.

8 Ball Pool enters the Guinness Book of Records as the most downloaded mobile pool game.
Miniclip, the world leader in digital games, announced that 8 Ball Pool, the number one game and the largest online pool game in the world, has been awarded the Guinness World Records for Most Downloaded Mobile Pool Game.
The title, which is shown as Miniclip’s number one game with 796,721,888 downloads worldwide, has 260 million hours of gameplay every month and 4,000 ball collections every second.

Miniclip, which started its life as an online Flash game on the Miniclip website in 2010 and attracted 20 million monthly visitors to the site, released 8 Ball Pool on mobile in 2013. 8 Ball Pool was an instant hit on mobile and became the most downloaded mobile pool game. As confirmed by mobile app data analytics app Sensor Tower in 2014, the game has held the title ever since.

To help players celebrate the Guinness World Records achievement, Miniclip will be holding a High Score event in 8 Ball Pool between the 12th and 29th of August, themed around players and their own in-game achievements. This includes a themed season pass and rewards, limited themed events and brand new and exclusive Cues to be unlocked. Players will also be tasked to send as many gifts as possible to each other between the 14th and 29th August, with the goal of breaking the existing record of 2.5billion gifts sent in a similar time period, unlocking another exclusive Cue.
