International gaming brand My.Games, part of the Russian internet company Mail.ru, has announced its cloud gaming service My.Games Cloud.
The service, which is currently in beta is available on Windows. For now, the most optimal experience will only be available to players within a radius of 1500-2000 km from the My.Games Cloud server centers, located in Moscow and St. Petersburg. It will expand to more regions and platforms in 2021, including Mac OS, Android, iOS, VK.com, and smart TVs.
The Russian firm stated that the service will eventually be integrated into the My.Games Store and subscribers will “gain access to the full game library and games from other games stores”. According to the statement, companies such as Ubisoft, Riot Games, and Funcom have agreed to publish their games in this project.
The company has not given any pricing information yet. However, they guaranteed it would be budget-friendly.
“We see great potential in cloud gaming technology, especially in a country like Russia, where its well-developed internet infrastructure provides a high-quality gaming experience at an affordable price,” said My.Games CEO Vasily Maguryan. “At My.Games, we have access to the latest cutting-edge technology, letting us provide up to 4K quality streaming with minimal latency.”
