Pokémon Go has hit $4,2 billion in lifetime revenue according to Sensor Tower data.

Niantic’s AR mobile game Pokémon Go was released in July 2016. Even though it has lost its popularity after a while in our country, it still has a huge community around the world.  Especially with the updates made during the quarantine process, the game has increased playability from home. In July 2020, it became the top grossing mobile game with its second highest revenue since release. At the end of October, the revenue of Pokémon Go in 2020 reached $1 billion.

After released, Pokémon Go generated $832 million by the end of the year. Except for the sharp decline in 2017, the steady increase every year has made it exceed $4 billion in four years.

The United States provides 36.3 percent of lifetime revenue with $1.5 billion.  Japan follows it with $1.3 billion and Germany with $238.6 million.

And also, Google Play is the leading store in terms of the revenues. While 53.4 percent of the lifetime revenue comes from Google Play with $2.2 billion, 46.6 percent comes from the App Store with $1.9 billion.
