Tatsumeeko has completed seed investment financing worth $7.5 million.

Singapore-based Tatsumeeko is working on a massively multiplayer online role-playing (MMORPG) Web3 game. Also, the game uses the NFT system for unique digital elements. What started as a community project in 2016, Tatsu.gg has grown into a full-time venture for his team in 2019. The company also creates software and bots that help gamify elements of platforms like Discord.

DeFiance Capital, Delphi Ventures and Bitkraft Ventures jointly managed the investment tour, in which companies such as Binance Labs, Animoca Brands, Dialectic, and GuildFi participated. The funds will be used to develop Tatsumeeko’s MMORPG-lite project, which will be released on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains.

An NFT collection has already been released for Tatsumeeko, and it is said that in early July, sales of Aethereal Plots will begin. These pieces of land will provide benefits and unique attributes to other players who stake or interact.

David Lim, CEO and Creative Director of Tatsumeeko, said in a statement;

“The ever-increasing importance of placing community first, along with the proliferation of Web3 communities relying on Discord as their platform of choice, has surfaced issues within user retention, acquisition and interaction. Our team leverages diverse experiences building triple-A mobile RPG titles to solve these problems by building a social MMORPG with sustainable tokenomics directly into Discord. At the same time, we want to add value to Web2 and Web3 games, brands and NFT projects who can integrate Tatsumeeko through their Discord and engage their communities with fun gameplay.”.
