Unity Gaming Services (UGS) is officially out of beta, with some tools to take the hassle out of developers creating live games. The platform aims to help developers build engaging experiences on a solid foundation.
Unity stated that tens of thousands of developers from more than 230 countries have registered with Unity Gaming Services, which it launched last October. The platform has a modular design as much as possible because each studio, developer, and the game is unique. This platform can be integrated with various game engines and contains many features to facilitate user work.
After choosing what you need for your game, it is entirely up to you which of the many features can be helpful to your project.

According to Unity, Authentication, which is already installed on 4,000 projects, allows you to assign accounts to players and add data generated by back-end products to them.
Another feature, Cloud Save, allows you to monitor and store a lot of player data such as abilities and stats. It also offers the option to enable the cross-device accounts for your players. We’d like to point out the service saw more than 14 million API calls during the beta process.

Unity has highlighted a few plugins that can be usable on multiplayer projects. With Lobby service, players will be able to create private or public lobbies and come together. Unity reports that this plugin supports over 400 projects, including both in-development and live games.
Relay, which enables the creation of peer-to-peer games instead of hosting a private game server, provides game traffic with DTLS encryption without sharing IPs.
On the back-end side, Cloud Code and Economy service, which can be very useful for developers, will also be offered to users. Cloud Code aims to allow you to write stateless server-side codes and minimize your connection to the client. In addition, Economy, as the name suggests, provides a way for you to create, manage and publish an in-game economy system.
According to Unity, 40% of Cloud Code developers paired the service with Cloud Save. Also, the Economy service saw 3 million API calls.
