Walmart announces plans for NFTs

NFTs and the metaverse also attracted the attention of Walmart, one of the world’s largest retail companies.
Walmart is making several plans regarding NFTs.

According to an announcement from Walmart, the company initiated its NFT plans by filing applications with the US Patent Office. Walmart, one of the largest companies in the world, may soon implement these plans.

“We are testing new ideas all the time. Some ideas become products or services that make it to customers. And some we test, iterate, and learn from.”

The game industry has the largest share in the growth of blockchain and NFT technologies. But large companies in other fields are not unresponsive to these technologies. Besides Walmart, big clothing brands such as Nike and Adidas have also been interested in metaverses in the past and even thought of producing some NFTs for use in metaverses. Metaverse and NFTs have become concepts often mentioned together and are reaching more and more audiences. Maybe we can use the NFT we buy from a supermarket soon in games.
