2020 is not a good year for humanity or the gaming industry. Coronavirus outbreak has affected game developers and events such as Game Developers Conference 2020, MWC 2020, and recently E3 2020. Today, we got the cancellation news of White Nights CEO Summit Barcelona, the exclusive event for game industry leaders. If you got a ticket, don’t worry as the team said they will fully refund all bought tickets. Also, they are doing their best to cancel hotel bookings without penalties.

That’s not all for White Nights

The cancellation announcement was on White Nights Conference’s official Facebook page. The post reads: “A lot of events got cancelled. We were trying to stay brave but eventually, we have to let go of something too. Because our audience is what we value most of all. That’s why the White Nights CEO Summit Barcelona will not take place in 2020”. However, that’s not all for White Nights as they announced a new thing called the WN Hub.

White Night Conference HubThe WN Hub is a game industry communication platform that will enable you to reach all your business goals online. You will able to host meetings, exchange news, find leads, learn something new, represent your company, and hire staff. It’s going to go live sometime in mid-April, as White Nights partners, we will keep you updated.

Next conference is not cancelled yet

At the end of the post, the team expects that the next White Nights Conference will still take place in St. Petersburg. It’s going to be between 25th and 26th of June incorporating all the new features of the WN Hub and the opportunities of a good old event. This will let the organizers “combine both offline and digital worlds into something completely new and beautiful”. That’s all what we know so far about White Nights Conference, sure it’s a bummer that it got cancelled but the industry will not stop. Keep an eye on Mobidictum for more news!
